In the past few years we’ve grown immensely and our performances always prove to be a ton of fun for everyone involved, both audience and actors.
But, if you’re interested in the more detailed history, LATENITE THEATRE was created in 1995 by a group of Theatre and English majors who wanted to produce their own original works. They offered their innovative theatrical fare after other events on campus were over – hence the name Latenite Theatre. Years later, Latenite continues to evolve while maintaining its commitment to the student playwright.
We have a simple purpose:
To offer our playwrights the opportunity to see their work on stage, giving them freedom to experiment, take artistic risks, and above all, have fun in a non-competitive and artistic environment.
If that sounds interesting, or if you would like more information on how to get involved, feel free to let us know at any time!
